Description:
Thunderstorms with torrential downpours dropped rain at the rate of two inches per hour across northwest parts of Berks County and caused flash flooding of smaller streams in the area during the late evening of the 23rd. Doppler radar storm total estimates reached as high as 3.5 to 4.0 inches around Upper Tulpehocken Township. A cooperative observer in Hamburg received 2.63 inches of rain. No serious injuries were reported.
