Description:
Multicell severe thunderstorms developed over Iredell county. Each caused severe sized hail along with some gusty winds to about 50 mph. Each storm developed a few miles south of the previous and moved east into Rowan county where they brought gusty winds and small hail, but no severe weather was reported. The hail in Iredell county caused considerable damage to some of the cars travelling along I-77 and US 21.
